Last weekend, a bartender I know made a drink for me she called a 'sangria'.
She poured a glass of red wine, and put vodka and a bunch of other alcohols in it.
It was really good, and I got really hammered drinking it (I was already halfway drunk before she made that drink for me - after two of them, I was totally wasted)
But, I was wondering, what exactly was that drink? What is a "sangria"?

Sangria is traditionally a spanish drink. They mix red wine, sometimes vodka, and different kinds of fruit juices in it. It's really good, and available to everybody in Spain. The way ur bartender made it, was not traditional .. but still sounds really good

It is typically red wine that has had various fruits soaking in it for additional flavor. Here is a typical recipe:
1 bottle Spanish red table wine
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup brandy
3 tablespoons sugar
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
