If my answer frustrates you, I apologize, but here it goes: there is no "norm" for height because everyone grows at a different rate. I suppose the exception to my answer is if you are a dwarf or a giant or have a birth challenge that is a unique extreme medical situation, but short of that everyone grows at a different pace so I would not be concerned.

Your average 13 year old boy is about 5'3" - Tall would be 5'8"+

Your average 13 year old girl is about 5'0" - Tall would be 5'5"+

Take into account that everyone grows at their own rate. If you are under or above this, it's ok.

I started my growth very early, in grade 7, I was almost 5'10" and 135 lbs. After that my growth slowed down. I'm in grade 9 and just above 6' and 160lbs.

85% of your height is based on your parents. You will probably end up a bit taller than your dad if your a boy, and bit taller than your mom if your a girl. The other 15% is based on your nutrition, and exercises. Get plenty of sleep as well to maximize your height growth. Peace.

Just remember you are who you are, and Your height doesn't matter at all about who you are.

The median (50th percentile) for boys is 62 inches. This means this is the height that half of all boys are taller and half are shorter. Normal range would be somewhere between 58-67 inches. Same for girls at this age. Girls tend to taper off at age 15 while boys continue upward a few more years.

Growth charts were developed from information obtained by measuring and weighing thousands of children in various age ranges. From these numbers the national average for weight and height for each age and sex were established and plotted forming a curved line. Normal growth can be out of the average or middle range but generally it should maintain the curve (the growth rate).

There is no set rule. My son was tiny at 13, tiny at 15 and 16 and even 17, 5' 4" and 130 lbs in June. But that summer, when he was 17, he grew to over 6 ft and 200 pounds in about 9 weeks.

If he had been concerned about his size, almost all of his friends were bigger then him, including the girls, he would have been a miserable kid for a few years.

Many of his friends did not recognize him that first day of school and none of the teachers.

Just be happy where you are and don't worry about it.

I am 13 years old. I am about 5'2. i would probably say thats about average. I am about 110 lbs, sooo thats pretty normal. Short for a 13 yr old would be like 4'9 or 4'8 and shorter. Everyone is different though... soooo there is actually no 'normal height' hope this helps!!
