I've been going to the gym in the morning before work. The gym is right next to my work so I just lift weights, shower and get to work. Right now I use public transportation to get to the gym. I would like to start running because I do a lot of lifting but not a lot of cardio (running to the gym would take the same amount of time for public transportation to get me there. The thing is, I will need to be running with my change of clothes, and shoes, plus a jacket maybe. Are there any backpacks that are used for running (basically are able to stay in place while you run). By the way the run would be able 1.2 miles.

thanks

Try an EMS or another outdoor camping and hiking store in your area. Something form fitting that is used for hiking will do the trick. Try them all on I am sure that you will find something that works for you.

Most backpacks now-a-days have a sternum strap and other adjustable straps that cause the backpack to hug the body tightly for skiing, running, or whatever. Since I just hike I usually don't buy backpacks with such bells and whistles or I just remove them. Head down to your local outfitter and you'll find plenty of options.

Why dont you just a locker at the gym with a extra set of clothes or change your workout time to after work so you wont be rushed

The Army issued us some pretty sweet CamelBaks with a waste strap and a chest strap. Should work good for jogging cause when you get thirsty, BAM! you got water too.
