As I don't live my life based on what others think, it makes no difference if it's on a computer or not. as anyone who knows me or has presumed to give me unsolicited instruction on such matters in public places can attest.

I try to be honest on here but in real life I'll sometimes lie or omit the truth simply to avoid the confrontation or lecture which does no good for anyone involved. Honestly though, I react differently on any given day so it is hard to say that I don't simply answer based on my moods and sometimes that is true in real life, too. I also always try to be careful with my wording when I can and try to respect others' opinions. It is a hard line to walk and I'm sure I've pissed off as many if not more people in real life than I have on here with my answers or opinions. So, I'm not sure the site gives me anything but a chance to see the answer and more time to think about it. The anonymity helps that people don't judge my opinion based on appearance though which is nice and I probably wouldn't be asked a lot of the questions asked on here in my real life. Whether I would answer the same is based on whether I care about the person asking, whether I'm in the mood to deal with the reaction my answer will cause and often just like the tone of the question, the tone or wording of the question and the intent implied with it. I can't guarantee I would but if you looked you'll notice there have been times on here where I've given somewhat differentiating opinions simply based on my mood that day. I rarely use the exact same words for the same question at any time in my life.

I'm pretty open and honest, so I do believe I would answer the exact same way. The only thing that may make it different, is that I am a better writer than I am a speaker. So I may sound clutzy trying to verbalize, whereas I can usually type at least somewhat coherently!
The one major exception to this is if my family is around. They don't even know that I am Hindu. And I don't wish for them to know. Therefore, I would obviously have to change what I said around them.

Nope. Considering how many problems have been caused in the past by religion and politics, how intelligent do you think that would be? How long do you think it would be before some nut would come out with a shotgun to try to blow my head off?
Without the anonymity, no I wouldn't. It's too dangerous.

I'm the same in person. I'm quiet but very blunt when I have an opinion to give. I'm not scared to say what I feel to someone's face. The punks are the ones who have 3 or 4 different accounts and the ones who don't allow email.

What are you talking about? This isn't anonymous. We all have names and profiles, and those of us who aren't afraid of a little one-on-one discussion also have email addresses. If you wanted to, you could check up on me every day and see which questions I was asking and answering. If you haven't been on 4chan or any of it's derivatives, you don't know what anonymity is.

It really depends on the question. I'm pretty frank with my questions, and answers when it seems right, and I give the same advice etc that I would in real life. Other times, I tend to take the p*ss because it's fun, and this is in no way a reflection of real life or real people. Also, many people on here really deserve to be mocked.

I'm pretty much the same here as I am in person.
And I'm not a big fan of the whole anonymity thing - I TELL people if I'm filing an abuse report on their question, because I'd consider myself a coward if I didn't.

I would answer just the same in real life as I do behind the veil.
I am that strong in my convictions.

Me.
I'm not ashamed of my answers,
(you can check on them in my profile)
and my e-mail is there and real.
I don' t think I've insulted anyone, at least from my perspective, though its possible someone might have taken offence that was unintended.
First person to swear loses the argument.
First person to use personal insults loses.
Assuming that those holding the opposite view
are idiots and morally corrupt, loses.
At least, to my point of view.
