Apparently the wrist is one of the most painful that you can get, along with the triceps and breastbone. If you're looking for something that's, say, an inch and a half, it'll be somewhere around $110, so prepare to pay about $200, or within +/- $20 from that general number.

When I got a band of blue stars tattooed around my wrist it cost $40. Keeping in mind that this was about ten years ago and it wasn't the best tattoo place around, it will probably cost you more than that. I know a lot of tattoo places charge a $40 minimum for any tattoo (regardless of detail and colour). My tattoo hurt, but not too badly. The closest feeling that I can compare it to would be like someone snapping my wrist with elastic bands. They did the top side of my wrist first, which feels less pain than the underside. My wrist turned red and got pretty swollen, which was actually a good thing because it made my wrist go a little bit numb. I also got the whole thing touched up about five years ago and it felt the same as the first time, including swelling and reddness. But, it didn't even hurt the next day. As far as it seeming gay, who cares what people think? It's your body, do what feels right for you.

well from the expierience i've had being tattooed and working in a shop for 2 years i'd guess around 40-50 bucks each. or you might be able to get a lower price if you get them both done the same day one after the other. i've heard that the inside of the wrist is a pretty sensitive area to have tattooed. the price would really depend on where you live and what shop you're going to get the work done at. people run their tattoo businesses differently .

I've got a string of text wrapped around my left wrist, and of all 3 of my tattoos, it was the most painful. It's thin skin, and if you're getting small work done it's mostly outline needle (more painful than filler). But it's worth it if it's what you want.
It's probably going to cost you about 50 each, more if they're in color, and most places have a minimum charge of $40-$60 anyway.
As for the gay concern, I'd have to say that it does seem feminine to get a small tattoo at that location, but if you tell the artist you're concerned about it, they'll help to make it more masculine. Getting something slightly larger and closer to your forearms will probably seem more masculine as well.
Happy inking!

you would have to go to a shop and have them draw something, or pick something out if they have flash books before they could price it because it all depends on the size and detail of the piece. shops also have minimum prices so it would be atleast that. the shop i work in has a 50 dollar minimum. the wrist is more painful then say, the bicep, but it's not that bad, i'm a pretty skinny guy and i was fine. i dunno if it would seem gay to have just wrist tattoos, i don't think so personally. i don't have just wrist tattoos, i just happen to have been tattooed on my wrist because the rest of my forearm is covered as well. it's up to you tho and if you want it you should do it. good luck.

I have numerous tattoos one being a star on my wrist. It didn't hurt nearly as bad as the one on my back. I've always compared the pain to that of getting a shot at the dentist. That initial pain you feel when you get that shot is the constant pain i felt while getting my tattoos. I have a Chinese symbol for good luck on my stomach and the artist who did mine only charged me $55.

I love your idea, and props to you for being strong through all of that. I hope your mother is doing well now. I like you idea a lot, actually. The stars are the only part I would change. They're too overdone on a lot of people, so maybe a different simple image would be better to represent the 8 of you. Maybe the first letter of all your names? It depends on what you want, really. Good luck and best wishes

its not gay to have your wrists done it depends on your local shop prices but at my shop you'd pay ballpark of 100 to 120 for both of them. you might want to think about the location as far as life goals and what not it would suck for you to have to wear a long sleeve shirt to work for the rest of your life because of 2 tattoos.(believe me I know) and wrist are painful but you wont die from it and something small like your talking about might take 30 min. If it looks gay to other people I don't know but I think it sounds pretty hot. Never got a tattoo of my own yet so I don't know if it will hurt but from what I hear, only the first 100 pricks hurt and they go by pretty fast. lots of luck.
