I never tried this but I have heard that if you add a peeled potato and cook for 10 mins or so (don't chop potato) then the saltiness will reduce. Good luck

The potato trick usually works.
Also, try neutralizing the saltiness. Usually an acid like some lemon juice or wine helps, and a touch of sugar also works.

Get a large or 2 medium peeled, raw whole potatoes and let them BOIL in the gravy for awhile. They'll absorb the extra salt. Never fails.

Cut a raw potato into large chunks and let it simmer in the gravy for 10 minutes. Fish out the potato chunks before serving.

Placing peeled potato pieces is the answer. Potatoes are nothing more than a starch and the will absorb the salt very well.

To take the salt out of most over salted foods.....peel a potato and put the peel in it. The peeling will absorb the salt.
