Nothing. The only reason that Moses needed to have a second set was because he threw the first set down. He threw them down because he was pissed that the Israelites were worshipping a golden calf when he was on the mountain.

One was written with the finger of God on two tables of stone (Ex 31:18, Deut. 10:1-5) and was put into the ark of God. That was the Ten Commandments or the law of God. The other set of commands were written by Moses with a pen and was put on the outside of the ark (Deut. 31:24-26) as a witness against the people. That is what we call the Mosaic law or the ceremonial laws that pointed to the true Lamb of God that would end the sacrificial system. Very clear if you just read from the bible. the Ten Commandments were to be forever but the Mosiac or ceremonial laws that Moses wrote was to be good only until Jesus died on the cross as the sacrificial Lamb.

The text says the 2nd set is written exactly the same as the first set, but then continues with totally different commandments. Incredible! The 2nd set is Judaism itself!
