I'm sorry that you are going through such a scary thing. Yes, I believe demons are real because I have had some pretty crazy experiences with them myself. I doubt that the spirit is actually trying to possess you. Full blown possession is very rare, especially in America, although there have been some actual cases. Chances are, the spirits are just trying to harass you. I had a friend that was going through this exact same thing. She even felt whatever it was sit down on the bed and saw the impression.
The good news is that as a Christian, you have the right and the responsibility to tell this thing to leave your alone and to leave your house. Here's what you do:
First, ask God to reveal to you any sins that may have allowed this spirit entrance to your house. It could be anything from a repetitive sin or bringing an artifact home from a vacation (this is what happened to another friend of mine). It could also be from allowing certain people that carry spirits with them into your house. Then, ask God to forgive you and truly repent for this sin. If you don't come up with any sin, ask God to show you how this spirit gained access.
Next, you can do this alone or bring over some of your Christian praying friends. Ask God to protect you. Then, start claiming your rights. Go in each room and say something like, "I'm a Christian, a child of God, and Jesus gave us the ability to cast out spirits in His name." Faith is the key here. You MUST have faith that you have this right. Say it with authority. Not yelling, but authority. Practice before hand if you have to. Then begin to ask God to fill your house with his glory. Then, command the spirit to leave by saying something like "Spirit, I command you to leave this house in Jesus' name. "
The spirit you described does not sound very strong. No matter what happens while you are praying, keep praying and don't get scared. If it will help you build courage and faith, read through scriptures where Jesus or the disciples cast demons out.

I do not believe that you are crazy but the devil would like to drive you crazy! Jesus said to "resist the devil and he will flee from you." James 4:7
Here are some ways to "resist" him. Say out loud (often-especially when you have these things happen) "I choose Jesus, I believe in Him and in His blood that covers my sins." The devil HATES that and he will not be allowed to harm you.
If you have anything that has ever been used in devil worship or any games or movies that have to do with the supernatural get rid of them. If you are watching any shows that have to do with the supernatural...stop it! That is an invitation to the devil right into your mind!
Here is a site that may help you some more. Just don't forget that God is SO MUCH STRONGER!!

You're not crazy. And, at the same time, there are no demons. I don't know the answer but a competent psychologist can get to the bottom of this (in my opinion, go to a psychologist before going to a psychiatrist). It could be some conflict in your mind that gets projected by your mind into these forms that seem VERY real. Just look at some of the people who wake during sleep paralysis (a normal stage during REM sleep where the body is temporarily paralyzed). Some experience demons or alien abductions -- they are NOT crazy but, instead, their minds are reacting to the sleep paralysis with intense fear and projecting this fear outward and literally creating a seemingly very real experience of aliens or demons abducting them or visiting them. Again, I don't know the specific thnig with you but it will absolutely be something that your mind is projecting in reaction to something that can be worked out witha good psychologist.

Belief projects images; you do not understand this, nor do you realize you are making these occur, based upon your belief. To illustrate:
A woman had a recurring nightmare that a demon was chasing her through an old house. It would chase her from one room to another, always just at her back...she always felt its hot, evil breath. One night, after months of this, she had the dream again...this time, the demon cornered her, and as it was about to strike, the terrified woman cried, "What are you! Why are you here! What are you going to do to me?" At this, the demon stood up straight, scratched its head, and replied, "I don't know...it's YOUR dream."
It is done as you believe. If God is for you, what can be against you?

Who do you imagine mediums and such get solutions from? that's sure not the lifeless! that's demons, and that i had a pal who became into automatic writing and nonetheless is. I have ex-communicated myself from her in simple terms by way of issues which have got here about. She does unusual issues and speaks out and is in simple terms undeniable evil. This got here about after she were given in contact with this automatic writing that she realized from James Van Praagh books. She talks and is effective one minute and in simple terms evil the subsequent. She cusses worse then she ever did and ought to't shop all people round because she scares them with this. We pray for her alot, yet she in simple terms gained't provide up this demonic writing. She is too addicted to it. I nonetheless seek for suggestion from her because I have conventional her see you later, in simple terms that I also shop a sturdy distance too. i'm not particular if any guy can carry out an exorcism, yet once someone excepts Jesus, He in many situations seems after something demonic.

Maybe the best thing for you is to realize that this is a symptom of schizophrenia, rather than characterizing it as demonic. And get the help you need. If you rely on religion to protect you here, the problem will get worse. But there are some good medications that can stabilize you. Please see a doctor.

I second what kreevich said. Go see a doctor. You can start with your regular doctor, and ask for a referral. Or call the community mental health program in your area and ask for a recommendation. Your symptoms need to be treated, and the earlier you start, the sooner the treatment will help and the better things will be for you.
