Ok, I've got $7,000 on a credit card and I need it paid off. The monthly payments are getting out of hand. I say we get a group here together who will pray that I get the money to pay this debt off.
We need a volunteer who has debt as well, who will be willing to not receive prayer that they get money to pay off their debt.

Then we need to set some rules and make sure it's fair and standardized. And we'll see if the prayer works.

Any volunteers for this experiment?

they did this experiment, except it was with people who had heart surgery, so people cant say God didn't answer it because it was pettyor that we were only doing it to test Him. the people being prayed for really needed His help and weren't just testing Him. it was double blind too, and prayers turned out to be about as effective as a rabbits foot.

Don't quite work that way. God is not just a sugar daddy that gives you all your desires but wants you to take some responsibility for your actions. All you would need do is be responsible with the debt and you would not have it any more. Cut the cards up and get a job to pay them off and then use cash for any future transactions. So many think prayer does not work because they want God to take care of the messes they got themselves into through sheer stupidity. Now how are you to learn anything from your mistakes if someone gets you out of them all and just enables you to get into more? If you were a parent, would you do that with your child? Make that child more dependent on you rather than try to teach some responsibility for its own actions? Not if you have a brain in your head you wouldn't. So why is it God gets such a bad wrap when He does the sensible things and does not just let you get so stupid with your actions but wants you to learn to be responsible?

Don't waste your time. People have been trying this for thousands of years without success. Go to a credit counseling service or experience prayer failure.
