i have a busybody who happens to be my boyfriends mom. i want to give the dog a bath in the tub its not her home its his. you put a drain catcher so the hair dont go down the drain. then after you scour the tub and alcohol the tub for sanitary reasons. i had a dog buisness for 18 years and had the proper equipment. but its now closed so she said its not right to do this. frankly its worse to wash it outside in the cold, plus the animal does not get properly clean. how do you feel about this? remember the tub will be cleaned and sanitized afterwards.

Not a damn thing wrong with giving your dog a bath in the tub. I give all my dogs their baths in the tub. But, my dogs are like members of the family and kids anyway. Just tell the B***h to mind her own business.

there isn't anything wrong with bathing a dog in the tub. i do it when i bath mine. and like you scour and sanitize the tub afterward. as you said the animal gets cleaner and it's not as cold outside as indoors so it's better for the animal. tell the busybody to mind her business.

Theres nothing wrong with it I give my dogs baths in the tub all the time it dosent hurt a thing.

I have several large, hairy dogs, that I wash in the tub regularly..Its much more sanitary than having a dirty dog in the house!
You think about all the people over the lifetime of the house that have had flu, wounds, or other illness, that are actually contagious to humans,(and all hve taken baths) compared to a dog who has nothing contagious to humans, other than possible parasites..

I see nothing wrong with bathing the dog in the tub. I have a small dog and I bath her in the kitchen sink.

We wash our dog in the bathtub, and use a drain catcher for the loose hair. Havent had any problems. Maybe shes just a germ freak. HAHA

Ok, tell your boyfriends mother to come round my house and watch me bathe my dogs in the bath with me in there with them!!! Seriously, I have Jack Russells and it is SO much easier to give them a good clean while I'm in there too. When I've finished I have a shower - I don't even sterilize the bath after, it's only a bit of dog mud!!! Lol!
