you are not by yourself, see i married that same sort of man and i have regretted it on a lot of occasions, im suffering from it as we speak!! what seems to be our problem?

Because ...it feels safe usually. You can be in the position to 'make it all better' and it makes you feel powerful. I'm not saying it in a bad way but you obviously view yourself as better them then or at least more evolved, and it's always easier to approach people that aren't on 'your level' at least to me. Perhaps work on building your self-confidence around guys that are more your type, it could be 'daddy issues' too, again sorry, but it's classic psychology stuff.

okay - but why are you going out with men you feel sorry for? is there a particular reason ?
