I mean a really close call. I had a nasty bike accident once and found myself sitting in the road wondering if this was going to be my last view of the world. Luckily it wasn't. But what I really want to know is what was really going on in your head when you realised it might be your time? I know its personal so apologies in advance.

Yes. I was in a fatal car accident last september when someone (20 year old boy racer) crossed into my lane (wrong side of road) and ploughed into me. He died at the scene. I injured my knee badly. I had lots of flashbacks of my life, more scenes and the people in it than actual life events! I remember wondering whether I was dead or alive. Then I went hysterical. Then I passed out and remember slipping into a lovely happy place for a while. I don't know where I went but it sure was better than the reality of the situation. Then I remember a paramedic saying to another, 'she's been unconscious for 3 minutes' and then became hysterical again! I was trapped in my car for 1 1/2 hours before the firemen cut me out! Awful experience!

I was a senior in h.s. and went on a raft ride down a river that was normally calm. Unfortunately, because of unusually high run off from the mountains, it was a torrent down stream.

We were literally thrown out of the raft and wound up being carried down stream. I remember clearly being suspended in mid water, like everything stopped and realized I was going to drown. That made me fight hard to get to the top and someone pulled me out.

The thoughts in my mind were that my life that 'passed before my eyes' was too short, I had more living to do. Needless to say, it was an experience. BTW, I don't raft anymore!

Yes, I almost got hit by a car. I was being chased by a bee when I was 5 (smart idea, huh?) and a car was coming. It was close to me when I noticed it, and I was in the middle of the street. I didn't get hit, because I jumped away, but it scared the heck out of me!

Besides being born, the nest step is death...but to answer your question
I was in a HORRIBLE car accident, had it not been for my seatbelt I would have been a goner...I looked at teh door handle and thought "I can't believe this is happening." then I blacked out...awoke later by a lady lightly tapping me on the face telling me to wake up..I did..then passed out again and awoke in the ambulance...passed out again...awoke in the hospital...really sucked
I call it my "Oscar Martinez" scholarship fund.
