My girlfriend has gotten very fat recently. I wanted to break up with her nicely so to spare her feelings, so I said this: "Look, I work in a Gym, so I can't date a fatso. You wouldn't want a cop to date a criminal would you? You are like my enemy" She started crying and I left. What do you think?

She sounds overly sensitive. You're obviously just trying to help her by calling her a fatso. If she hears it enough, maybe she'll do something about it, right? You might want to explain yourself in a more tender way: maybe give her a parting gift basket with a few diet cokes, a Pilates video, and a homemade T-shirt that says "SO LONG, WIDE LOAD!"

You have to ask if you hurt her feelings? How would you feel if it were you? And if you still dont know, YES, you hurt her feelings. And I dont mean to hurt yours now, but maybe the reason she got fat was because she was dating a jerk. I hope she finds someone who likes her for who she is, not what size she wears.
And PS, its NEVER ok to call someone a fatso, no matter how fit you are or where you work. Not cool!

Absolutely. You hurt her very being. Fatso??? Couldn't you have been a little kinder, a small amount of additional weight. Enemy? why on earth would she want to be with you if she is the enemy? I think you need a dosage of your own medicine to understand human kindness.

I think ur an *** ****, if thats the reason u broke up with her, then the real reason was you didnt love her, you just couldnt be man enough to tell her that, cause if you trully loved her and her weight bothered you that much you would have helped her loose the weight and motivate her instead of bringing her down, im sure that people who work in gyms can easily offer a friend a discount.

You are jusr ridiculous! What is with these fake questions and pathetic answers? Are you really the fatso? Sitting at your computer with nothing else to do on a Saturday afternoon? As long as you feel good about yourself. loser.

yes you hurt her feelings and you will never get her back if you truly cared about her compared to what she looks like would not bother you obviously your not into her your just into what she looks like which is horrible and wrong you if i was her i would loose the weight and show off my body to you just to show you what your missing out you deserve to get fat and ugly for saying such a thing to her.......a body is not something that you can compare to dating a criminal when your a cop ..............and obviously you were not in love with her or didn't even care about her because if you did you would never had said anything like this or even thought about it you would have maybe offered to work out with her or maybe of done fun things to help her loose the weight. man you piss me off

Are you kidding me?

If you truly cared for her, you would have told her the weight gain concerned you and that you wanted to help her lose it. But the way you told her (if this isn't all one big joke, like I think it is), shows that you don't care, and yes she is very hurt.

Oh my gosh that's horrible! You are very mean and obviously you weren't thinking about what you were saying to her. Grow the heck up and learn to treat women with decency and respect!
