I'm going crazy here...the rotary club for my area has a website and I swear nothing and I mean nothing works on it. It's like they didn't put any link on their site and my family is going to desperately need help this christmas or we won't be having christmas.Someone told me that all you have to do is ask and the rotary club will bring you a nice christmas dinner. That would be great.Does anyone know of any other organizations that I could try?I have me, my mom and two little brothers. Thanks everyone for your help!

l don't know where you live, however I would try: (1) calling (via the phone) the "Salvation Army" (they help with food and toys), next (2) call "Catholic Charities" (that's the name of the organization, its not just a collection of charities). Catholic Charities has a network of assistance in-house, and also with other social services, to help with ALL TYPES of NEEDS. They don't care if you are not Catholic, and they help everyone in need regardless of their church/religion; and, (3) call the local office of "The United Way", again they assist all people in need, especially through the holidays with Christmas. God Bless.

Call your local churches, schools, and organizations such as United Way etc. They will all have lists or if you notice in the paper that a family has had a house fire or something.... contact the newspaper! You could even contact the radio station or ask co-workers or look down your own street... many people are too proud to sign up for programs but might really need the help.... anonymous drop off at their door might give some family a very merry Christmas!

Do you belong to a church, they will help. If you don't, contact a church in your area and ask they know of someone to help. I don't know about the Rotary Club, but many other community organizations help families at Christmas. Try Salvation Army, they help families through the year and just not at Christmas.

I pray for you and your family to have Merry Christmas.

There are alot of churches that are out there helping with situations like this. Contact the Salvation Army i know that they are always doing things for people at Christmas in your situation. Also contact the local Board of Missions (Food Bank) and they can help you too. Good luck to you and your family and i wish you a blessed Christmas.

Almost every town I have lived in for the last 25 years has a newspaper that sponsors a version of "season of sharing" . Contact your local newspaper and see if they do that also. When your story is featured donations go to a third party agency such as United Way to help you. Good luck!

I wish I had a great answer for you. I know The Salvation Army may help or United Way-They brought me X-mas dinner before and gifts for my 2 kids. I know it sucks to be down at x-mas time. Me and my friend and my son have until tomorrow (Sunday) to find somewhere to live. I work, but i just don't make enough money and I still gotta get Junior X-mas gifts. Someone will help you. Check your local paper for help and churches. I hope you have a wonderful X-mas!

Call your city hall or the mayor's office. You will probably be connected to an office or assistant that can help you. They usually are aware of agencies that help people. Television stations also know of groups that do this kind of thing. Call your local station and ask for the news department. Google "free Thanksgiving meals, your town's name" and those agencies probably do Christmas meals too.

Any local church should be able to help you or the Elks or Knights of Columbus organizations. Also, try the local food bank. They collect none perishables from various stores and corporations and then distribute to those in need. There is one in Hillside, NJ

The Salvation Army has always been a good place to get donated meals for the holidays.

They have also given toys in the past.

Also, you could try the local Red Cross chapter in your area, Catholic Charities (you don't have to be catholic to get their services)

Or any local food bank.
