When it is clearly self defense? I mean, what are we going to do? Stay here and threaten them without force? No, we have to fight back. We have to weaken their forces in their homeland. I understand the bashing of Iraq, but not the bashing of Afghanistan. Are they making up excuses why they should have one of their own in office?

Liberals do not oppose the war in Afghanistan. That was the war we should have stuck with, instead of diverting our attention to a cockamamie "Region Building" scheme in Iraq. Criticizing the fact that we took our attention away from Afghanistan and are letting the Taliban come back is not "bashing".

The only thing more ridiculous and incorrect than your statement is the people who came in and answered there agreement with you. Typical of most Republicans I know just agreeing with a statement bashing liberals without actually knowing anything about it. No wonder Limbaugh and Hannity are so popular most republicans I know believe everything they say without thinking for themselves.
Now to answer your false question. Support for the action in Afghanistan was unanimous as far as I remember. I don't remember one dissenting Liberal voice in the action to overthrow the Taliban and get Osama Bin Ladin. However before we got the job done we took a big chunk of resources and troops out of Afghanastan for what has become Iraq which is a seperate issue. The bashing comes from the total mismanagement and the fact that we still don't have Bin Ladin. And now the Taliban is coming back in Afghanastan. All because we needed so badly to go get Saddam.

I don't really know what you're talking about. Could you perhaps point me in the direction of the liberals that are bashing the war in Afghanistan? And please, don't point out people on yahoo answers, because this place is filled with idiots that just like to stir things up. Going into Afghanistan was the right thing to do, and from what I've seen most people agree with that, it's going into Iraq that people either were against or are against now.

I don't understand bashing either. Afghanistan had been over run by terrorists. Saddam Hussein, while ruler, had supported many terrorist. He payed the families of suicide bombers about $10,000 each per bomber. All oil money from the middle east is used to undermine our western society. Because we are so reliant on oil, we have overlooked the Saudi's endowment of every university with a Middle East Studies Department. All communities of immigrant Muslims in western countries are infiltrated by Jihadists. When the time comes we'll know how bad it is.
Having our troops in Iraq keeps the focus of the Jihadists on kicking us out of the Middle East. If we weren't there, they would be attacking here.

well this justified war in Afghanistan is being lost because of the absurd war in Irak. it is lost because this administration is letting unpunished the fact that Talibans are using Pakistan as their base.
So there is reason to bash this war.

They bash the war in afghanistan to keep us from paying attention to what is really going on in congress. While those politicians are in Washington making themselves rich and helping their friends get rich, they stage fake fights so that the american people will be more focused on issues that keep us distracted. As long as there is a good fight or a good bashing going on in congress, nobody is going to ask where all of your tax dollars are going.
