Consumer Reports has the best evaluation on any potential auto purchase. Just go to any library, not sure if you can acces all reports online.

The hybrid version is not up to par with the rest of the hybrid SUVs, the one I rode in last month had decent fit and finish, decent performance, but I definitely not buy one since the model will be discontinued after 2008. Neither the gas or hybrid versions get stellar fuel economy, mainly because the hybrid system was loosely thrown together by GM's engineers who were told to make something that made GM look greener without anything of real substance. I'd look at the Ford Escape Hybrid or rethink whether you really need an SUV in the first place.
