I know how you feel. My first fiance was murdered in 1993. We had been dating since 1991.
You never really get over something like this.
It's hard, but you just have to pick yourself up and move on. He would have wanted you to move on and find someone else. Mine told me to do that before he was murdered. I'm sure your bf would have felt the same way. You don't have to find someone else until you're ready.
I will always love my first fiance and will never forget him. You'll always treasure your bf, but you cannot sit at home and not live.

I think you never get over it. It was a precious relationship and you should cherish it forever. That doesnt mean never see anyone else. In time, you will be ready to share your heart with someone else. But please do take your time. Maybe see a counselor. Let your heart heal. And know that it is totally ok to love again, and to keep this love in your heart forever.
I am SO sorry you had to go through this.

Take your time.
Get involved in other activities, join clubs.
Respect the fact you had something special and understand that he would never want you to live in misery.
You will find love again, give it time.
Don't go out with the first guy you meet. Patience. Give yourself time to heal.

You wont get over him. You will move on. When you are ready to date or the right person comes along you will know. You are protecting yourself from further pain and that is normal. you might want to talk to a grief councilor.

Time heals all wounds...
The best way to mend a broken heart is with a new love.
You will never forget him but the pain will dull with time...

You will never forget him, and you will always love him, but you will date others. When it feels right, you will be able to date.
