Put the bike on it's side with the chain up and get a block of wood, a hammer and a nail. Tap on one of the link pins until it comes loose and tap it all the way through to the other side. You ruin the chain put you get it off the bike. That is what you wanted right?

most chains have to be unlinked using the chain tool. you can buy a cheap one at walmart for $4.
some chains do have a master link though. its gold and they slide into each other. you have to use needle nose pliers and squeeze the links together, the long way. its kinda hard to describe

Buy a chain splitting tool for under a tenner, then you will be able to take the chain off when ever you want and clean it properly and then replace it

Secondly, "jumping" is a extraordinarily ordinary time period, do not you imagine? it ought to easily be that your grease is placing out to freeze up on the gears and on the chain. once you experience the chain, does it bend easily? it ought to nicely be that the joints between each and every chain link are transforming into frozen. If this has been taking place for a at the same time as, i ought to signify attempting to thaw the chain as proper you may. If which skill hauling the motorcycle into your bathing room and hitting it with a blow dryer, than thats what you want to do. in simple terms pouring extra grease on must be undesirable, because it ought to easily initiate to pile up and make it worse, untill finally your chain is unusable or it snaps. sturdy success to you, ice-biker!
