Hi, I did the Million Paws walk this morning in Darwin - my first one and I have to say that I was so impressed that so many dogs can be in such close proximity without any scraps, etc (at least not that I heard). I have a Kelpie and a Belgian Shepherd Malinois. The Malinois can be intimidating for people and dogs who don't know him. He does go up to dogs and I did tend to minimise this and I didn't know the other dogs and how they would react to him. He is still a pup really - mentally if not physically (14 months). My Kelpie can be a bit dominating and will approach other dogs in a somewhat dominating manner so I have to be careful with him. He is sociable but if the other dog is also dominant there can be trouble. He met his son again today - now 3 years old - and my Kelpie was fine but his son, also a dominant dog, didn't take kindly to his approach and we had to keep them apart. I was really pleased today as my Malinois is a tiny bit people shy and alot of people wanted to meet my Kelpie so the Mal also got to meet and greet some new people. Very good for his socialisation. All in all a great day and I am looking forward to next year, although hopefully my Mal's training will have progressed to the point where he doesn't pull quite so much on the walk. He is getting better but it was such an exciting day that he did pull more than usual.

I rolled my eyes as i read the question. I roll my eyes all the time, and while some people see it as disrespect, its just part of my sarcastic nature. My boyfriend gives me hell for it, because im constantly rolling. And it depends on the nature of the way you did it. My roomie always rolls her eyes, but she's always pissed or annoyed with her boyfriend, and he gets sick of it. Personally, i dont think its a huge deal. Did you do anything else to make her hate you?

A definite yes. This is extremely rude as it is an indication of a put down.

I think to many it is. When I say something and someone rolls their eyes, it makes me think my point is not valid. Also, it makes it seem like you are not really listening or paying attention to them. It's possible she doesn't like you because of that, because she probably thinks you don't care to listen to anything she has to say.
