At this church thing I do, there's a beautiful young lady. A few months ago, she started going out of her way to say hello to me, give me hugs, tell me about her life, and sit VERY close to me. She'd be a real catch, and I'm not getting any younger, BUT...

I'm really good friends with her father and mother, and I'd hate to get them upset. I happen to be 27, and I believe she's 19. That's a kind of freaky age difference, especially since I met her three years ago. Getting from her house to mine would take about a 45 minute drive. Also, I'm unemployed at the moment, and she's about a foot and a half shorter than me, which may or may not be an issue.

Usually, if I can't be with a girl, I'll ignore her till she moves on, but I'm having a real hard time getting her out of my head. What should I do?

Age is mind over matter: if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. The distance isn't that big of an issue, people make much longer distance relationships work but if you don't have a job to pay for gas, it could be a little problem seeing her as much as you'd want to. If her parents know you, they should know you are a respectable person to date their daughter despite your age. If she is someone you care about, give it a shot.
