Tupac was not a prophet, at least not a prophet sent from God. to prophesy just means to proclaim something, so in that sense yes he was a prophet, preaching street mentality. a good rapper, one of the greatest in my opinion, but not a prophet of God.

No. Tupac spent the last years of his life cursing his ex best friend. I don't think any prophet would have spent their last days with an enemy of such a selfish cause. Prophets had many enemies, but they were enemies of the Lord. Prophets spent their lives trying to bless their enemies, and hoping they would one day see the light. Tupac sang many beautiful songs about stuggling on the streets, and trying to keep your head up when times are rough, so in that sense, he was a great poet, and sometimes shed the light for hope. But he did not set a good example for people to follow.

First of all, to all the people that has disrespected Tupac, you're dead wrong. Even though you may have your opinions about him, there's no need to disrespect the decease because no one deserves to die like that. To answer your question, I don't know about the whole prophet thing but he was a deep rapper who spoke the truth. We don't have too many rappers today like that. R.I.P Tupac!

Ummm yeah....

No he doesn't. I don't think you know whats in the bible...I've read it and tupac definately cannot be compared to a prophet of the bible. I'm sure tupac was all that but theres no way he was a prophet of any biblical sort. Maybe of some other religeon or something.

And just what was a true prophet in the Bible like, anyway? What were the "qualities and effects" you refer to?

Erm.. isn't this one kind of a mute point? He's lacking one HUGE qualification to be a prophet. He's dead. Hate to be the one to break it to you.
