Maybe think of it as the bridge to heaven. You go into light, not blackness. People have died on operating tables, and in car accidents and been "brought back" and no one has reported anything awful after death. Hit the library and read some of the life after death books and maybe you will feel better. It also says many things in the bible that show us it will be good.

Actually, you 'were' alive before you were born!
JESUS "knew" you before you were born and brought you into this World. HE knew every hair on your head and everything about you!
Also, HE will know if you believe in HIM or not, and if you shun HIM...
The Earth is a test for you...
Whether you pass it or not, is up to you...
But, its a simple "test"... all you have to do is trust in JESUS CHRIST as your Saviour and give your life to HIM! This way, you will have ever lasting live in Heaven, or the New Jerusleum, instead of burning in eternal Hell fire for the rest of Eternity...
Read your bible and find out about Salvation! Its free and, though its not easy at times, but the rewards are great!
I wish you well..
Jesse

dont be afraid of death depending on your belief system there is an after life in Christianity there is either heaven or hell this also applies to Judaism. in Hinduism or Buddhism you are reincarnated which means that you become another human or an animal or another part of nature. i believe that you just go back to being a new human. that is why babies cant talk because they still remember there previous life. im not sure if this theory is true. i would not be afraid of death. but i wouldn't be suicidal either because no matter who you are someone cares for you out there.

There is life after death, but not the kind of life that lets you dance at parties and drink till dawn, or do your homework or plan for your next vacation. Life after death is way more serious than that; it's when you have to account for all your deeds, good and bad. Contrary to what atheists will tell you, God exists and He is watching you.

At death you cease to exist. You are unconscious and feel and think nothing. You dont have a "soul" that escapes death and goes somewhere else. The only way to become alive again is if God ressurects you.

to be known is one thing, to be remembered is every thing. being dead is the direct result of not living enough to be remembered by anybody. live life ,meet people ,do something for someone just because you can, not because of an expected reward.this is how my granfather lived, he has been gone since 1980, he died on his 80th birthday.our sadness due to our loss, still shows now and then, yet dissapears as soon as a friend sees us depressed asks why so sad? then reminds us of the fun times he shared and the life he lived
