No. Would you? Would you reconsider your faith if they found Jesus bones? Would you then agree He existed, so the New Testament is not just a bunch of hooey as you've insisted?

If they found Jesus's bones period I would have to reconsider my faith mercury has nothing to do with it. The Christian faith rest on the bodily resurrection of Christ, and according to the Bible itself we are of all me most miserable if Christ is not raised.

But if Christ bones were found which I don't believe for a minute they would be some historical facts would have to be explained away. We know that most of the disciples were murdered because they believed Christ was God. On the night of his crucifixion they ran away like scared rabbits because they had little faith in him, but a short time later they became a group of men that were willing to die for him, (most did)
What changed between the time of Christ trial, and the point where these men were willing to die and go to prison for him?
If they knew, or even thought he was still dead they would have stayed in hiding. But they didn't even when they knew they could renounce Christ to LITERALLY save their own skin they continued to call Christ God incarnate.
The Roman Guards that were guarding Christ tomb were the first in history to fail in their duties and not be killed for it.
Nero started his persecution of the Christians at around 64 AD at a time when many people who knew Christ personally were still alive If Christ had really stayed dead as you suggest someone would have spoken up and saved them from being burned alive like candles at Nero's garden parties.

There is far to much evidence that Christ was resurrected for me to believe that Christ bones will ever be found.

what is the point of this question, and His bones will never be found because of the bodily Resurrection, they are with Him in Heaven seated next to the Father!

Could you explain what the significance of mercury in 2,000 year old bones would be? Until you do that, I'd have to say my answer would be "no".

Does that even matter? Besides, Jesus rose from the dead, so He didn't leave any bones.

Nope.

I'd still be an atheist.

Well... atheism isn't a faith or a religion... but I still wouldn't change.
