i heard rum goes good but what else and what kind of rum? give me some good advice here...

here's great website for you to check out. It's at webtender.com
It's very cool website and tells you what to make out of your refridge. If you click on "In My Bar" and it will have list of drinks and items that you can make. Click on Egg Nog and whatever you have and whatever editing you need to get the answers you want. There's several Egg Nog recipes.
Here's one from that website.
Christmas Cheer
Ingredients:
1/2 shot Eggnog
1/2 shot Peppermint schnapps
Mixing instructions:
stir it up and shoot it down. HO! HO! HO! Tastes like christmas with a pine tree twist.

Dark spiced rum - like Captain Morgan, Brandy, Sweet Whiskey like Makers Mark - all go well with nog.

Bailey's Irish Cream and egg nog is really good. And if you're looking for non-alcoholic drinks, egg nog lattes are one of my favs

our mom mix it with e&j brandy and meyer's rum, adding nutmeg, cinnamon, heavy cream, half & half, cup of sugar, vanilla extract and eggs yellow...
