To play a game you only need two players, but on average you should have at least 7-8 players. If you were to play 5-6 people then it would be short-handed and the hand value would change for sure, the maximum number of players you can have would be 10 handed although some casinos will play 11 handed on some occasions. but games like stud the max is no more then 7-8 players because otherwise there wouldn't be enough cards to go around.

A full game is 9-10 players but you can have a good game with as few as five. Some people enjoy the challenge of heads up poker (2 players).

The minimum required is two. Hold'em is typically played with 5-10 people. The theoretical maximum is governed only by the number of cards in a deck. Of course if you play tournament style you can play multiple tables and keep playing until one person has all the chips. This is pretty much how they play the World Series of Poker and similar tournaments. This year over 8,000 players took part, although no more than 2,500 played at any given time.

It depend on what type of poker. The minimum is 2 ( call heads up) , but you can have a maximum 10 player at the texas holdem table, 10 players for omaha, 8 players for 7 card stud, 8 players for razz...

It can be anything between 2 and infinity, so your personal preference would be better. The fewer the players, the more control you have over the game, but there is less risk and reward. If you play against a higher number of players, there will be more risk and more reward, and you'll have less control over the game.

i think that it depends on how many ppl u want to play so it really doesn't matter how many ppl u havin playin...however many u want

you want at least 4 to make it interesting...any less you just have to really want to play it.
