how old you are and what you look like have nothing to do with if you are right for belly dancing. as long as you can do the belly shake and have fun, then go for it! Heaps of my friends have started belly dancing and it is great exersise and fun. If you are slim and worried you have nothing to shake then get same beads and tassels etc and tie them around your waist.

Belly dancing has nothing to do with what you look like. You should learn it as a form of expressive dance (as well as exercise) for yourself, no matter what your build or dancing experience. Sensuality is a natural thing, and doesn't come from looking a certain way, or knowing how to dance - it comes from inside. So if you feel you want to learn belly dancing, you'll only find it rewarding if you do it for yourself, not for what others think of it.
