Why would this man suddenly go 'dark' after encouraging me to keep the relationship going, just a couple of weeks ago, when i tried to finish it. He, also, initiated discussion about coming to visit me whilst i'm out of town for a month, saying he would check out train times. However, have not heard a word since, for nearly two weeks now. He has also ignore a short text asking if he is ok sent a couple of days ago? It's driving me mad! The last conversation we had was really good and he seemed very keen to visit. This has never happened to me before and I think really odd. He is around 8 younger than me and so i had initial doubts, but we get on very well whenever we meet up, hence why he said we should continue it. Just feel really confused...and upset i guess because so easy to send short text response saying busy or something....and assume he has just been distracted and doesn't care about my feelings.

maybe he had a change of heart? or he is seriously wondering if your the right one for him. don't contact him. he has your number if he never calls again then your better off. do you want someone to be with you if they don't want to? if, he calls then continue your relationship. in the meantime don't sit around waiting on this man. get out and mingle with friends who knows maybe he is not the one. sorry but i don't want to lie and make you think he will call.

He's avoiding you deliberately. It may be because he is trying to ditch you, or it may be for another reason altogether.

Give him a call and talk to him as if you just spoke yesterday. Ask him (without heaviness!) if he wants to see you and try and set a date. If he doesn't want to, then just invite him to call you some other time when he feels like it -- be nice to him and let him off the hook, but after you hang up, consider the whole thing over.

But who knows, he might miss you and ring you back in a month or two.

It sounds as if he got tired of the "chase" and your indecision regarding him. I think you should let things go quiet for awhile (i.e., no texting, etc.) and see what happens. If he comes back, then you might want to resolve that you're going to interact with him in a more authentic way this time. Good Luck!

Call him on the telephone and ask him straight out what's going on and see if he's still interested. That's the way adults behave.

Sounds married and spending time with wife/family.

Doesn't want to risk contact.

Give it 2 weeks and see what happens.
