I agree with acidity. rubbing alcohol works best. It will sting if you've scratched it hard but it works! Get yourself a cotton ball and soak it good. Put the cotton right on the bite and it will go away after a few. Tell your friend to vaccum her carpet good. The fleas are still in the house even though the dog has been treated.

Clear fingernail polish will stop the itching on any bite because it blocks the oxygen to the bite and stops the itching.

Don't laugh when I tell you this, but put WD-40 on them. Try it on one and you will see, it takes the itch and sting out of bug bites. You had also better sprinkle flea powder around your home.

To stop the itch wipe vinegar on them. to get rid of the fleas fumigate.

How about trying to get rid of the fleas...;
Use calmine lotion on the bites, it will cool and soothe them.
