It's probably the food, my dog was like that as a puppy (she's now 9 human years) and my kitten was like that, and he gets it when he eats people food. It might be a bit to rough on him, since he's only 11 months. That's still kinda young, so try a lighter food. Go to the vet for suggestions and to see what is causing it, worms does that too.

Your dog may need a different food. Shepherds often have sensitive stomachs and it helps to get the right food for them. I used to feed my dogs "Nutro" which has some good varieties, but their food in general has a very hard kibble that isn't easily digestible. Also, they have started using soy which is bad for dogs.
My Vet suggested adding a few Tablespoons of pumpkin pie filling to her food, and same with cottage cheese. But he also recommended changing her dog food which helped too. She did a lot better when I got her on Venison and Rice by Nature's Recipe. I am sure other quality dog foods have a comparable Wild Game version of food. That is what my Vet recommended.

firstly i would not suggest you gave the animal any drugs/meds unprescribed by the vet. this can be dangerous and most human medicine is unlicensed in animals. we would only use it if there was not an animal equivalent!

other factors need to be taken into consideration i.e any vomiting, the animals demeanor and general health. if the diarrhoea has been consistant for a few days and showing other worrying symptoms he needs to be seem by a vet.

if only diarrhoea we recommend to starve the animal for 24 hours, then introduce small meals little and often of plain good old fashioned boiled rice and cooked chicken only for a few days until feaces return to normal. boiled fish and rice is also an option if no chicken. once feaces is normal slowly introduce normal food back in by mixing it with chick/rice for a few days gradually increasing normal food until back on normal food. young animals are prone to tummy upsets.
if the diarrhoea continues after this other underlying probs could be an issue so get him checked out asap.

Boil some hamburger drain the fat, make some white rice, mix together and cool. feed it in small amounts. The meat will offer protein and the rice will bind him up a bit. Lots of water should be available. The cause can be a lot of things including eating something he shouldnt have , or developing an intolerance for the food he has been eating , he is still a puppy.

Wet nose does not mean healthy dog, just to clear that up.
Diahorea means he has a larger problem, possibly worms. I'd take him to a vet to get checked up on.

it could just be an upset stomach has the dog got into anything strange? has he been dewormed? has he had all his shots? a trip to the vet is the ultimate solution to this problem but worms is most likely the vet will tell u also try gatorade or anything with electrolites to boost his immune system because he is still a puppy his normal food might not be agreeing with him

He might have eaten something that doesn't agree with him. Make him some white rice...its easy to digest and will give the stomach a rest..call your vet too..and get him checked out...There are all kinds of intestinal parasites out there.

Try mixing pumpkin in with his food. It worked wonders on our new puppy, and it helped settle her upset tummy. If that doesn't help please take a stool sample to the vet and have it checked for gardia or parasites.

i'd say you should get ur dog to see a local vet. Go to the market or drug store and get a small bottle of that pedialite for babies. thats a secret trick for helping your pet be restored to regular health. make sure the pedialite is given warm to ur dog.
