If by organic you mean food grown without artificial pesticides and fertilizers, no growth hormones, no antibiotics given to cattle and poultry, no irradiation, no artificial preservatives or fillers… yes, I think all food should be like that, and I think it should also be cheap enough for all people to be able to afford it. A difficult task because organic food needs more care and farming is a backbreaking job despite all the modern machinery.
Mind, organic does not mean automatically healthy. Fat is fat, organic or otherwise; you still have to make healthy choices. At least with organic food you don’t need to worry about a good bunch of nasty things.

Actually scientifically speaking all food IS organic...and so are we...all this organic panic is kind of questionable...I've grown the redest, ripest, meatiest most solid perfect vine ripened tomatoes in my back yard that I have ever seen in my life...way more substantial than anything you can find on a grocers shelf organic or not...yes I didn't use pesticides...but I didn't use organic fertilizers either...just grew em in the ground w/ some water...

No. Just becuase it says organic doesn't make it healthier or better. I mean look at the Oreo. Organic or not its still bad for you. Besides anything label organic doesn't have to be fully organic. Just a certain percentage so if turns out to be a waste of money and effort.

no yes organic food is healthier but using the chemicals we use speeds up the production of food. Such as the hormones we use with turkeys. Organic turkeys go up to about 22 lbs whereas the others can get larger.

If it wasn't organic, we'd be eating nothing. ALL food is, like many other answers. All the stuff we think of eating is plants, meat, dairy, and such. The only not-so-organic food I can think of is salt!
If you mean this the other way, it's like paying more for something that doesn't make sense to pay more for. Just think! we eat sub-par "what's in them???" hot dogs, and they don't taste different than all-beef, nothing else dogs!

Yes. I would rather not eat cancer causing chemicals, but organic is too expensive. So my question is: Why are the healthy foods expensive and the unhealthy foods very cheap.

Strictly speaking, ALL food is organic. It may just have some artificial additions which are not too desirable.

No, chemical fertilizers help keep prices down. World aid depends much on US crops and the agriculture industry needs to be supported, not regulated.
