I've only known true love from a man once in my life. When I was younger I remember all the silliness I associated with love...the goosebumps, the heart palpitations, the thinking I couldn't LIVE if he didn't call; (the waiting by the phone), and the crushing feeling when that call didn't come. Well guess what? My husband and I have 2 grown daughters, and a beautiful 3yr old granddaughter, and all the old silliness is STILL THERE! I still get goosebumps when I think about him, I still think he has the sexiest voice on the phone, (he calls me about 5 times a day), and he's STILL the love of my life! I sure do love my sweet guy!!
What about you, Hon? Is there love in your life? I wish it for you!

Oh yeah. What is that. After comming to God,everything seemed different. That dancing on the wind feeling was great. But after a couple of weeks that euphoric feeling left as fast as it came on.
Was I ever disappointed.I thought God left. But I think it the way it is supposed to be.How is our faith when we're back to our everyday mundane life filled with it's ups and downs and people tick us off.I found it easy to forgive when I felt God's love, but harder when I am that small-minded,judgemental person I can be sometimes.

I have fallen in love, I think the idea behind loving from a Christian perspective is to see the love of God in your partner. I know I've seen that, and it's been amazing. It definitely hurts to lose it. The nice thing is, since God has a plan in mind, as long as I'm doing what he wants me to do things will work out for the best in his eyes. That's all I really want, more than love of another person.

That feeling is what makes life worth living. It's inside you and you can find it if you search inside yourself. You can feel it every day, if you know what makes you happy. Sunrises, nature, animals, they are all part of a wonderful place, including the human race.

I have been married, divorced for over a year and going through a break up of the first real relationship I've had since my husband. My current view on love is that love hates US ALL.
Blessings

What does faith and religion have to do with love? If love means willingness to sacrifice something of oneself so that the other can benefit, then yes, I have felt that. Sometimes it doesn't last very long but others last much much longer. Is it because of our innate drive to protect the bloodline and chance at procreation(protecting our children and loved ones)? That's what love turns into when you look at it. It's the desire to protect what we need to "survive".

Falling in love is a great thing, keeping love is even more so. Love takes work, The feeling needs to be nurtured and grown into a mature long lasting permanent trait of one's person.

Yes...I have felt those emotions & more the day that Christ came into my heart! Though I know that the final experience you describe, in regard to the negative experience when your love went away....will not ever be one that I will have to endure!
Which makes me...God's beloved daughter forever.

Who said we're not all human? It's not the humanness of practitioners of other religions that I have a problem with. The Truth is the Truth and it is what it is. Jesus said he's the only way to heaven and so be it.
