What did they do to deserve such a horrible death? Were they also "homossexuals" ?

Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't destroyed because of homosexuality.

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah was a warning against rape, inhospitality and xenophobia. The reason for Sodom's destruction is made clear in Ezekiel 16:48-50. According to Ezekiel, the sins of Sodom were pride, laziness, being inhospitable, neglecting the needs of the poor, greed, and idolatry (the worshiping of idols). Nothing about homosexuality is mentioned.

And children were killed because the Bible god sometimes kills indiscriminately. That's the OT god for you... wipe 'em all out now, apologize later.

Can you believe that zealots like Zero Cool and LibChrist try to explain and justify the mass murdering of innocent children. I truly think such people are neurotic. In fact, the most-recent edition of the DSM (the psychitarist's reference book) has officially listed religious zealotry as a mental disorder. It's about time. Anyway--the old testement is filed with incidences of the Hebrew Fairy Tale God murdering children. Why can't people realize these are made-up myths, by a people that were getting oppressed at the time. If YOU were getting you butt kicked every day for years, you would make up a God to exact your revenge too. It's so simple, yet some people cannot grasp it. I feel sorry for them and hope they get help someday.

I don't believe it was God's intention to intentionally KILL children.. in the Bible it states the WHOLE TOWN as ONE UNITY was of EVIL.. therefore to show that this was NOT acceptable the WHOLE town was put to death... sometimes we have to lose something or someone to see what needs to be seen. If evil is all around and you have NO other example.. what do you think the children would have grown to be.. and who is to say that those same children were not being put through some PRETTY horrible things.. Sometimes you have to look beyond the bad to see the good..
In conclusion the Bible does state that their were men lying with men in Sodom and Gomorra.. but that was NOT the ONLY reason they were classified as evil.. Remember evil doesn't see evil.. it sees all it knows to see.. If you are a bank robber you won't see another bank robber as a bad person... They were all evil and perhaps thats all it was.. I am thankful that lesson was made..

ABRAHAM PLEADS FOR SODOM AND GOMORRAH

Abraham was given the Promised Land covenant 427 years after the flood, he resided among land pirates, Gen.13:2 he was very rich and should have owned thousands of acres but instead he was given the Promised Land covenant, on the other hand Sodom and Gommorah had their lands and cities, by nature there is the law to respect the right of fellow human being, there is land laws and man had to know God laws or there would have been no flood to wipe out violence, Sodom and Gommorah are in dispaly of violence and are making every one join them.

Abraham at 451 years after the flood pleaded for Sodom and Gommorah and if 10 righteous people was there the whole would be spared Gen.18:32;

Many verses say they were lawless and despised authority or dignities.
The way they treated the visiting angels is evident the had no respect for anyone. 2Pet.2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 2Pet.2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 2Pet.2:8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 2Pet. 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 2Pet.2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

THERE WILL BE A JUDGEMENT DAY [ Sodom and Gomorrah will be there ];

Heb.9:27; 2Cor.5:10; Rom.14:9-12; 1Cor.6:3,4 [ Judges ]; Jude 6;
Matt.10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Matt.10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. JUDGEMENT DAY: Matt.12:36; Philip.2:5.9-12; Acts 17:31; 24:15; John 5:20:22,26-29; Dan.12:2 [ Psm.49:14; 104:29,30; 115:15-17; 146:3,4 and Isa.26:19 the earth will cast out the dead ]; 2Cor.5:10; John 12:47,48 All must know the WORD of God.
Homosexual, adultry or any other flesh seeking pleasure outside marrage to reproduce or care for partners needs is fornication, the same as eating blood of an animal or a human, humans must have the choice not to do such forbidden acts.

think about it....why are we having a television program on right now where we are discussing children of a certain nation and talking about wiping them all out. They are being trained in a certain way that we do not agree with correct? If Sodom and Gomorrah were acting in a way that was against God....and they were...then they would have trained their children that way, right? And don't the sins of the fathers go to the 3rd and 4th generations? (Ex. 20:5)

I actually agree that 'homosexual rape gangs' in Sodom are pretty extreme... add to that lack of concern for the poor said in Ezedkial and there is a narsissistic self absorbed society

as far as the children... I'm not sure I would consider it judgement... it's more like God allowing a tsunami ... I think he ended the civilization of Sodom and Gomorroah because of their extreme sin.. the children died as people died in a tidal wave or earthquake.... act of God yes... judgement..not sure... end of the civilization of the cities judged...yes and possibly to protect even more children in that region in the future

Where does the AKJV HOLY BIBLE say children were killed at Sodom and Gomorrah? Where does the AKJV HOLY BIBLE say children deserved to die a horrible death at Sodom and Gomorrah? Where does the AKJV HOLY BIBLE say that children in Sodom and Gomorrah were also homosexuals? What we do know is that Sodom and Gomorrah wouldn't have been destroyed for the sake of ten righteous.

And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake. AKJV HOLY BIBLE 18:32

Scriptures say exactly why the wrath of God abides on the homosexuals:
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who withhold the truth in unrighteousness.... because when they knew God they glorified Him not as God,.... Professing themselves to wise, they became fools, ..... Wherefore God gave them up to uncleaness...to dishonor their bodies among themselves...Who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worship and served the creature more than the Creator... FOR THIS CAUSE God gave them up to vile affections....and likewise the men also, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men,... receiving in themselves THE JUST RECOMPENSE FOR THEIR ERROR,... God gave then over to a reprobate mind,.... filled with all unrighteousness, ...full of envy, murder, deceit,....haters of God,...proud,...without understanding,...who, KNOWING THE JUDGMENT OF GOD, that they which commit such things ARE WORTHY OF (ETERNAL) DEATH..." (Romans 1: 18-32

As Homosexuals can't and don't have children, I doubt seriously there were any except for Lot's two daughters, whom God spared along with Lot and his wife (until she disobeyed God's command to not look back. She was punished for her disobedience by being turned into a pillar of salt. Watch yourself!;-)

The children weren't really responsible for what their parents sins were. They probably had the diseases of the parents. At that time there was no known cure. God was merciful as harsh as it seems to us and took them off of this earth of suffering. They are with Him.
