The Gang Rape in Nemmersdorf was one of the worst war atrocities. I'm looking for others and trying to find out if any Russians were ever brought to trial for their crimes during WWII. I'll probably be asking about Afghanistan and Chechnya later. But if you have sites now I'd love to study them. Thank you in advance.

I've linked several articles below for your review. 1st - Ethnic cleansing, 2nd is an overview on Allied war crimes, 3rd a specific record of the details on the previous posters Katyn massacre. There were significant atrocities committed before (1932-33 era in the Ukraine) and after (Stalin's pogroms) the war and with most focus on the Nuremberg trials a lot of Allied crimes either went un-or-under reported. Best of luck in your research, hope this helps.

Murder of around 40,000 Polish officers in the Katyn forests around 1942, Russians denied this at the time but all evidence suggested otherwise.

My figures may be out and check date is correct.

There are books on this massacre, good luck in your search, very interesting subject.
