Most of the people here said English but they forgot to mention what type of english.... The most widely spoken language around the world is BRITISH ENGLISH. There is a difference in british and american english. For example britishers spell the word "colour" while americans spell it "color". And british english is more popular and widely spoken because of the fact that when Britishers invaded many countries, their english brushed off on the people of those countries, many "royal" families were taught "British English" and when Britishers left, the tradition continued to teach "royal" families English and slowly and slowly people of all classes learnt the language as their means of comminication in the "foreign world". Now a days, people are taught British English and their "native language" together. For example in India, English is taught to kids from kindergarten just like they are taught hindi.... both are considered essential.

Then Indian but which Indian?

That leaves prominent International Languages.

Churchill once said sun never sets on the British empire, it was true then and it is true today, but what Churchill could not do, Internet has achieved it, already(I believe so, because of USA)

It is English for now in use, all over the world , it is the language of Internet.
