There are many options if it was your pc. but in internet cafe, you may not install anything.
So, here is an alternative trick.

if you use opera browser, it has download manager built into it. the best part is that opera has "portable" or "usb " version(opera-usb.com). It does not need to be installed. So, you can run it from a small usb flash drive, cd, or even from a folder in the computer. Nothing registered in the computer and computer will have no traces of opera . After you finished using, it leaves no browsing history, cache etc and no one can track you too.

If you mean like your desktop's icon are hidden, then simply right click with your mouse on the desktop put the mouse arrow on view and check "Show Desktop Icons" option i hope that's what you meant Best of luck

right click the icon, and either delete or hide the icon. then you have to use the start menu to run it. it would probably be better to use the start menu to find the folder and pull the icon to the folder screen. then you just have to move it back if you want to show it on the desktop.

Oh and another thing. Use firefox.
I can surf the web, and download. If you close the download box on firefox, the download will continue but it wont be visible.
