I like to wear a elaborate Jar Jar Binks costume and mask as part of my every day life. I went to the grocery store, and saw how depressed everyone was so I thought I would help. I started dancing in the aisles, and yelling at people, and running up to people and taking things out of their cart. It was great fun. Then when I went to check out, there was only one lane open and a long line. I screamed and screamed while in line and danced, bumping into other people. I opened a box of baking soda and threw it around. Finally I got to the checkout. I started making noises at the cashier, and I kept pressing buttons on the computer. Some people in line were groaning because the line was getting very long, but that gave me even more incentive to make them laugh. I climbed onto the table and started kicking peoples groceries on the floor and singing. The manager and one of his goons pulled me off and said I could never shop there again. Can I sue for harrasement or possibly assualt?

Well, you can file a lawsuit for most anything. Winning the lawsuits you've filed is another matter entirely. A lawsuit against the store might work, with a really good lawyer. However, you've fiddled with their computer, destroyed their products, and annoyed several shoppers. The store could easily file, and WIN at least five lawsuits against you right about now. They also are more likely to be able to locate more witnesses to defend themselves and to help convict you.

Most stores have cameras, multiple employees, and records of the names and addresses of many shoppers. If you admit to the court that you were in the jar jar binks costume, they can use that evidence, and those witnesses to really screw up your day. If you claim you were mistreated without mentioning the suit, you're pretty much going to have to lie in court to even file the case.

Besides, if you try to sue them, you're probably just going to end up trying to cheer people in the courthouse up with your jar jar suit, which will earn you a night in jail.

Well Mr. Jar Jarrrr blinky you need to either calm down or get out of your mothers basement and get a job. As a former grocery store manager the only time we allowed such costumes was on Halloween for the purpose of ID in case we got robbed even then we would ask people to take off the masks I had to hit and physically hurt people to stop them from stealing or causing upset to other customers i could go on for hours about all the times I had to physically and verbally confront people, and I am not an ex Marine or some violent person. I am normally very pacifistic, I would usually just use my size or voice to stop altercations but sometimes that would not work so I had to step into people (get real close violate their personal space) to stop altercations. So I believe the manager used kid gloves with your a s s.

wat in the world were u thinking? u can sue for anything you'd like but that doesnt mean u are going to win and in ur case I'm sure u won't. The grocery more likely will sue u for being a disturbance to costumers and ruining goods because if u say u were kicking things then u should be sued. that is obscene and terrible. U need to grow up!

If you think doing all that is "funny" then you need to rethink. You can't sue them for harrassment or assault because it was you doing the harrassment and assualt. You're lucky they didn't call the police. It's private property. Act like that in your own house, film it, and show the film to people if you think that would cheer them up. Which I doubt. Unless they're on drugs.

NEWS BULLETIN. If it's "joy" that you want to spread a smile will work fine and people won't be freakin out. I think you have a definite problem of not having gotten enough attention when you were a child and you're starving to death for it. I would have pulled my cell phone out and called the police! Idiot!!! Get a life!!!

Nope sorry honey. The company would be well within their rights though. For destuction of property and harrassment of their customers. But hey, there's plenty of lawsuits that don't make sense, so if you want to go ahead, I'm sure you'll find a lawyer who will take the case!
