soak with cotton wool pad and saline, wait til it is soft then wipe gently - or a cold used tea bag is supposed to be good

"Teacup" Poodles occur when you breed two abnormally small toy Poodles together. It's a genetic anomaly, which should never be encouraged. Unfortunately, backyard breeders, fueled by the desires of the public, have bred down Poodles to become smaller and smaller and smaller. This is so people who want a "purse puppy" can have one. Sadly, it comes with a price. Teacup Poodles come from breeding the smallest of litters. Abnormally small puppies (aka, runts) are oftentimes plagued with health problems due to their small stature. Usually they are the puppy that was crowded out in the womb and didn't receive the same level of nutrition, blood flow and oxygen from the mother. The dam will sometimes even push the runt away, knowing it is sickly, which means if the breeder wants the puppy to live long enough to be bred for "teacup" size in the future, it must be bottle fed. Along with a myriad of health problems, Teacup Poodles are so tiny they are prone to serious injury. A fall from a couch that most dogs would simply brush off and walk away from could kill these tiny Poodles. Not to mention, no legitimate breeder would aim for teacup size, particularly since they aren't even recognized by any legitimate purebred dog registries. This means you are going to pay more for a sickly pup, with a fancy name, from a backyard breeder.

Clear to brown discharge is normal, purely a cosmetic problem. A little Vaseline can help keep it from staining her fur and make cleanup easier. Sticky yellow or green discharge is more serious and should be treated by a vet.

There are special wipes you can buy from the pet store or grooming store that will remove the gunk safely and less painfully.
