I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

The concept of Hell throws the concept of an all-loving, all-merciful god straight out the goddamn window.

I find it morally reprehensible that there are plenty of people out there who advocate a god who allows eternal suffering and torment for finite crimes. They are advocating a god who is nothing more than an egotistical tyrant. Such a god is not worthy of worship, but of fear and terror.

What's even scarier is that these same Christians, most of them, anyway, try to justify it by saying that God does not send them to hell, but people send themselves. I find it appalling that people actually believe in these things... it speaks volumes for the terrible brainwashing that Christianity has unleashed upon this world. I truly fear for humanity's sanity.

There is NO eternal suffering. How many times is this question gonna come up. Christians are given eternal life. Non-Christians are not. So how can people who aren't Christians live forever in hell? No sin is worse than another in the eyes of God. We just all have to recognize that we are sinners and ask God to forgive us. We have to realize that Jesus paid the debt for our sin by His death on the cross and when we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we are clean, we are forgiven and given the promise of eternal life after we die. Non-Christians are judged and thrown into the lake of fire. There their souls die and they cease to exist. That's it plain and simple. Hope you make the right choice before you die. God bless.

Good news (from a previous answer):
.....By a strange paradox of the divine logic, what the cross means is that our Judge has now been judged in our place. By allowing himself to be crucified, the God who has come to us in Jesus Christ has now born in himself our judgment so that we do not have to be judged........

We ALL deserve Hell....without Jesus Christ you will definitely be there.

However since you asked: Here's the Scripture that answers your question:

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who withhold the truth in unrighteousness.... because when they knew God they glorified Him not as God,.... Professing themselves to wise, they became fools, ..... Wherefore God gave them up to uncleaness...to dishonor their bodies among themselves...Who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worship and served the creature more than the Creator... FOR THIS CAUSE God gave them up to vile affections....and likewise the men also, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men,... receiving in themselves THE JUST RECOMPENSE FOR THEIR ERROR,... God gave then over to a reprobate mind,.... filled with all unrighteousness, ...full of envy, murder, deceit,....haters of God,...proud,...without understanding,...who, KNOWING THE JUDGMENT OF GOD, that they which commit such things ARE WORTHY OF (ETERNAL) DEATH..."
