Please, don't duck the question. Why did God say "now I know" as if he didn't know before?

Think about it-the test was for Abraham, the statement was also for Abraham.

If God knows everything that will happen, does that mean that all testings in the Bible are pointless? God has not created the world just to be known in terms of what would be if tests were given. He created the world to be actualized in history. He wants to know by observation and experience. That is the point of creating a real world, rather than just knowing one that might be. Therefore, God truly knew what Abraham was going to do, but wanted to externalize that in a test that enabled him to know it by observation, not just prognostication

because the statement was for Abraham, it did not mean that God Himself did not know. That was a test for Abraham not for God. Just like when we ask our children a question that we already know the answer to, then if they lie we say i know you are lying. that is just so that they can know that we know. it is for them not for us.
