i live in a 2 story house and i live on the first floor and someone else lives in the 2nd floor.

The problem is that the staircase to the 2nd floor is parrallel to the front door and if the stairs continues all the way, it would overlap the front door half way (ahh hard to explain)
k so i heard its bad because all the energy is gains momentum on the stairs and rushes out through the door (well half as bad in my case)

my question is, does it affect me (who is living on the first floor)?

a broader question would be, does the feng shui of the 2nd floor have anything to do with me ?

There are 2 aspects you have to consider when studying Feng Shui –
1. General guidelines – this applies to most people, more like common sense when choosing your property. Some basic rules are like: the back side of the lot should be slightly higher than the front side (better visibility when looking outside), avoid the houses with a front door facing a straight running street (the constant moving chi will disturb the stability of the household), don’t plant large trees right in front of the front door (so the chi will not be blocked)….
2. Specific to the owner/principal – this has to take the owner’s “ba-tze” (8 characters) into consideration. According to ancient Chinese, each individual has a unique combination of life force elements (metal, wood, water, fire & soil) based on unique birth date & time. So a good Feng Shui may work for someone but not necessarily for another – this is why someone becomes a millionaire after moving into a house, but the successor may file for bankruptcy.
Feng Shui is a very complicated subject & unless you have a very thorough understanding it may not always bring the effect you expect (sometimes it could work in opposite direction without your knowledge).
Whatever adversity one experiences – either Feng Shui or “ba-tze”, one can usually find the power/strength to overcome through the higher/divine force (God).

I'm not an expert, but I would guess that anything in your surroundings would effect you also. Is there something you can hang on the door, for instance a mirror or a peaceful symbol to achieve the balance you're looking for without interupting the borders up stairs? This is very interesting, and I'm sure someone with experience in this area could help you. Godloveya.

the final fengshui tip i grants that has an significant consequence on your success is to alter your significant door. the main door is many times the wood door, no longer the steel gate; or the door this is connecting the homestead to the exterior/ street. the least which you're able to do is repaint the full door. this beats rearranging the furnitures or maybe portray your homestead a diverse shade. changing your significant door is like freshening up your success to grow to be extra well timed or present day. in fengshui, once you first flow into the homestead, you activate your success at that factor. and such success have particular features, this is many times calculated via the fenghsui concepts. yet this success many times purely lasts for in basic terms a definite era, then it expires. consequently, this is taken into consideration necessary substitute the door, in case you prefer a brisker success. word: do no longer try this provided that throughout the time of the previous you have a string of undesirable activities. if that's the case, which you need to to tilt your door at a diverse degree. or seek for advice from a fengshui expert.
