So don't tell me he was making Abraham test himself. Unless you want to make us think you have problems reading.
Genesis 22:12
"Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son."
Did you read it? God says "now I know", clearly indicating it was His test, not Abraham's. It follows that according to Genesis 22:12 God is not all-knowing and therefore, not Christians God.
Just another unducktable contradiction.

You are right. God is not all-knowing in the sense that he knows every single detail of every single event no matter where it happens in the stream of time. Most people confuse God's ABILITY to foresee a thing with their belief that he ALWAYS foresees. Sometimes he chooses not to.
Case in point: Abraham. God was not testing himself. He was testing Abraham to see how much Abraham loved him. But God does not have to be all-knowing twenty-four hours a day to be God Almighty.
For instance, God has the power to knock me out from in front of my computer. Just because he doesn't do it doesn't make him any less God.

Luiz.........the point that you missed is the story is prophetic. It s not a test but a prophesy...How about now I know that you understand that I am coming to save my people and that I am God. God said take your only son? Was Issac Abraham's only son? did the writer not understand this when he wrote about Ishmael? This guy who wrote Genesis didn't realize God was Omnipotent and omnipresent. Yet he knew that Christ was coming 1500 years later........consider that God as asking Abraham to sacrifice his only son...consider that Issac was carrying his wood for the sacrifice to the mountain where Abraham told him God would provide himself a lamb. Consider Abraham named that mountain Jehovah Jirah which means the lord will provide....because the lord would provide himself a lamb there...and 1500 years later Christ the lamb of God would carry his wooden cross to the mountain and be the sacrifice for the sins of all who accept his atonement for their sins. God just happened to provide himself a lamb...prophesy of 1500 years to come but God did not know what Abraham would do? Understand what God is trying to teach you and salvation is available through that same lamb of God. Did you trip over a diamond while searching for fools gold?

he is all knowing he knew that Abraham was going to kill his son because he loves God and will do whatever he says. He just put him to a test to show that he is the one who decides when someone has to go. so he tested his faith do make sure that Abraham is the right person to go preach out to the people what he has experienced

So, we are to believe that God said something, in a book about God, that was written to prove God exists, are we?
Proof as far as I am concerned.

This is for the future people who say "All you need is Faith". This shows that faith not followed in deeds is dead and has no meaning. A true faith makes you do things you would not ordinarily do. This was a lesson for us not an education for God.

God does know all. Just because he knows all doesnt mean he just sits around just knowing. He still created us. He knows who will beleive and who won't. Faith without works is dead. he knows, but we Can't see faith, His neigbors can't see faith, his son can't see faith. God knows all, but Life for us still continues so that we all have a life.

This also is evidence that god is not omniscient as many people claim. And that he has a severe ego problem.

You don't know that. You only have 12000 people doing their best to make you think he said that.
