I am planning to buy the new Nissan Altima 2007 2.5 S model but i found out that ABS is not standard but optional on the car. So that got me into thinking whether ABS is a must have or a good to have option. I had a honda civic before and i have roughed it a lot but never lost control, it didn't have ABS on it.

Let me know your answers keeping in mind the Altima.
Thanks

ABS will raise ur resale value. And also if you are aware that a car performs differently with and without ABS then there should not be a problem. I have owned both and do like ABS however it would not be a deal breaker on buying any car.

Do yourself a BIG favor...Spend the extra money and get the Altima with the ABS!

In case you don't know how ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) works...It literally pumps the cars brakes electronically very rapidly...much faster than a human being EVER could, if you lose traction.

Since skids can happen from wet leaves or a decent size puddle in the road, this is one option you should consider ESSENTIAL.

Please DON'T buy the Altima without ABS.....By the way..it doesn't matter WHAT make or model car it is...ALL cars should be equipped with ABS.

It just might save you from a bad accident...or from being killed.

Anti lock brakes are not necessary if you never skid. Cars with anti lock stop faster in adverse conditions and you are able to steer while stopping. Stomp on the brake Stay on the brake and Steer around the object in your way. While not a deal breaker ABS is a good thing.

confident, it somewhat is a deal breaker. ABS could be well-known on all however the main inexpensive autos and the Altima isn't a miles less high priced motor vehicle. with the aid of making it optionally available, they are in basic terms attempting to rake interior the money. i'm unable to make it easier to recognize what to do, yet could you have adequate money a style with ABS?
