*A beggar's brother died, but the man who died had no brother. How could this be?

* The beggar was a woman, hence the man who died had a sister in stead of a brother
* It was in the middle of the day, so the driver would have seen it due to the dayligh
* He was on foot? I can't think of any other reason
* The doctor and lawyer were women, so they wouldn't have been named John. The milkman was a man, and therefor the "only" possible suspect. (Assuming no one has had a sex change :P )

The beggar was a woman.

It is Daylight.

He was on the opposite side of the road.

The doctor & Lawer were women, the milkman was a man.

2)it was daylight
3)the "bus driver" was not driving at the time. he was probably walking at the time
4) the doctor and lawyer were both women so, chances are good, only the milkMAN was named John
