My lil grand daughter was playing yesterday and some how got things a bit messed up.. Now the bar on bottom has only :START on left side and right sidehas only sound horn avast,and 2 little pc talking to each other...No tool bar on top like..file edit history tools help ...
CAN any one help in simple terms Am running Firefox and IE6

I can only give my advice about what I think has happened to your task bar (the bar on the bottom). I am thinking you normally have a couple of icons such as for your internet browser, on the right hand side of your task bar...
If you want these back, right click on the task bar and go to Toolbars and make sure Quick Launch has a tick by it. Other than that, the task bar has very little else on it. Maybe your clock has gone? Then right click on the task bar and choose Properties. Make sure Show the Clock is selected. Have a play with all the other options to see what suits you.
About the tool bar on top, are you talking about within your browser? Try right clicking just below the address and make sure there is a tick by Menu Bar. Choose any other menus to suit you. If I am completely getting the wrong end of the stick, sorry.

Its a little difficult to trouble shoot this, but I'll try.....

---- Do you want quick launch or did you have quick launch before? Right click on your bottom bar and select properties, make sure quick start is checked. (Quick Launch allows you to have applications like Firefox and IE6 on the bottom tool bar for easy access to your most used applications and will open with one click.) You can get applications to your toolbar by dragging them from your Start>> Programs or anywhere you see the icon.
and right sidehas only sound horn avast,and 2 little pc talking to each other...
--- the right side is your system tray and should have all the applications that are currently running.
No tool bar on top like..file edit history tools help ...

---- I presume you are talking about your Firefox and IE6 browsers here. Go to Start>>Programs and being up Firefox. Make sure it opens in maximize mode. If not, drag the window from the corner to make the window larger. Windows will remember this setting next time its opened. Do the same with IE6.

No way of knowing what was done, but here's something easy to try just in case your icons are lurking somewhere.
Go to your toolbar at the bottom and right click on an empty area.
When the menu comes up, go to "Toolbars" and check to see if "Quick Launch" is checked. If not, check it. Hopefully your icons will come back!
If you have any kind of bar on top, right click that too, and check "Standard buttons" on the menu.
