Why does there have to be a reason?

Let's start from scratch. I know it's a good thing to have "high self-esteem." We all want to feel important. We look around and see that members of other species just live, do their thing, and then die. We feel too important, (and perhaps too frightened), to accept such an outcome to our existence. After all, we are "so different."

Perhaps this narcissism serves useful cultural and psychological purposes. How does it mesh with the bit of reality (outside of culture) that our limited intellectual (& scientific) capacities allow us to discern? Not very well. Every single indication is that we are very much like our neighboring species.

Thus some of us conclude that "doing our thing" means leading productive, loving, and moral lives. That will make us important enough.

That is a question no one can answer.

But i ask you this. The world came into being billions of years ago, and life evolved throughout the galaxy. This is correct. But how can life come from no life without divine help?

to gain as much wisdom and knowledge as possible and teach what we have learned to others so mankind may be a little bit better off than before we came here. we are Spiritual beings having a physical experience not a mere physical being searching for a spiritual experience.

To grow and evolve spiritually.....this is done by loving each other the way we would want to be loved....even through our own cultural, religion, race, gender, etc. differences. Do this and you are on the right path.

That was im guessing a simple way of asking the centuries old question of the meaning of life.who knows what purpose our purpose holds...

but God= truth and knowledge and that's all I live by... so that's my purpose finding that knowledge and discovering that truth.

We don't know.

that is the mystery and beauty of life.

It's not, in my opinion, to think we know and understand god, or that god would even care about ants on a dirhill (people on earth)

Because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. If it hadn't been for him doing that, we all probably killed each other by now, we're such horrible sinners.
