I had a date last night which went fairly well, how soon should I contact this girl and ask to see her again?

Call her today like around noon or 1:00. Dont ask her out again quite yet, just tell her you had a great time and that you would like to do it again some time soon. See how she reacts to that and if she sound up for it wait a couple of days and call her up with plans. Good luck and remember to ask her back out no later than wednesday for the following weekend.

If it is man getting in touch with a woman, the next day, if it is a woman getting in touch with a man, within 3 days.
The reason is simple, women need reassurance very soon that there will be a follow up, whereas men feel pressured if a woman contacts him too soon after the first date.

If you like this girl and you think she likes you too then give her a call today to say that you enjoyed the date and would like to see her again sometime, let her decide when she would like to go out again, this should give you some indiction as to how fast she wants to move. If you play it all casual and don't call her for a week she may think you are not that interested and there is no point playing games if you really are interested. Just go for it and Best of luck!

Whenever you want to or feel you want to speak to her if that is today go for it... if tomorrow wait till then. Don't listen to what other people tell and whatever you do don't play games as it will just confuse things.
