I remember my personal trainer telling me " we'll work out your upper body..arms, chest, and abs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Then we'll work out you lower body, calves, thighs, glutes, and abs, on Tuesdays, Thurdays, and Saturdays" So I asked "there's no escaping the abs, huh"? "Nope", he said.

Twice a week. More than that and you risk spasming. Even without the spasming, without appropriate recovery time, your workout is wasted. The workout stimulates the muscles to change. This change happens hours and days later. If you workout again before the effect is complete, your body will turn off the mechanism by which this happens and your effort is literally wasted. If you do this too much, the resources by which the change takes place become exhausted and you start to damage your muscles. Spasm is the most common symptom this is happening. Treat a spasm with ice and don't work out for at least a week afterward. Then, reduce your workouts to the correct amount.

You should do ab crunches 3 - 4 times aweek doing 5 sets of 20 resting for 30 seconds in between each set, it's not good to over work yourself, also try this exercise:- lie on your back with your legs bent in the air and do ab crunches also again on your back do the bicycle kicking, these all work for the stomach, you can do all these 3 - 4 times aweek and again 5 sets of 20, but the bicycle kicking do in for 1minute then rest for 1 minute do this for 10minutes.

300,000 times a day works wonders when it comes to the simple issue of bending down and staring at your TV
