If you watch what you eat, and exercise regularly, then maybe you should ask your doc about checking your thyroid. If it is underactive, it will be impossible to lose weight without getting help for that condition.
Also try switching exercise routines. Our bodies become efficient in retaining fat when you do the same type of exercise over a long period of time.

Everyone is different as far as how their body reacts to diet, exercise, and supplements. It is difficult to give accurate advice over the net, so I will start at basics. First of all don't give up. Next, really examine what you are eating and when. If you haven't done this already, you may be missing something extremely important. When we eat is sometimes as important if not more important than what we eat. Sometimes we don't realize how much we are eating. Keep a log of your daily intake. Working out is more my thing, but I know that when we are talking about struggling to lose weight diet is a huge factor. Make sure you are not just "going through the motions" in your workouts. Effort = Change. Hope I have helped.

Nevermind pills. Everyone looks for the magic pill - there isnt one. You have to eat right. I used to be a big fat slob and it's because I ate what ever I wanted and did not excersize.

Control your simple carbs, strength train, and eat often - 7-8 SMALL meals through out the day. Think of it this way, you stomach is a pile of burning coals. If you throw little sticks on it they will burn right up. If you throw a huge log on it, it's just gonna sit there. Same thing with food. Small meal, burns right up - big meal, just sits there.

Check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org - especially the link about overweight. As you come from a family with diabetes, the weight you are putting on could possibly be due to a pre-diabetic "metabolic syndrome" - also known as hypoglycemia.

If you learn, and understand now about how blood sugar, insulin and your body works, then it will be easier to lose the weight at your age by diet alone, and not become like me, fat, female and diabetic by age 42.

If I can be of help in finding you a diet that will work, please e-mail me through my profile.

I am glad that you recognize that you have a problem. Many overweight people think that it is good to be fat. They are proud. But they will die sooner in life and it is not sexy. Your health is not something to take lightly. You have to work (exercise, etc). You must be disciplined in your diet (no fried or processed foods). You must take repsonsibility for your condition and not believe what everyone else says. Good luck I truly wish you well!

P.S. See a doctor, a doctor can be very helpful

If you are already exercising without results, then your diet is probably to blame. Try this website. It is free and easy to use. It will help you reach your goal. I found it by accident two years ago. It helped me lose 30 lbs. I go back to it whenever I start gaining weight. You have to be honest about what you eat, though. If you aren't then it won't make a difference.

You need to get the right weight loss system.
There are those without "The Pills" as you say that are all natural.
One in particular is The Prycena weight loss system.

There is something there too for your fathers diabetes.
You can both look forward to a happy future.

If dieting doesn't work, then you're picking the wrong diet.

Weight loss is a simple equation of less calories than your body needs to maintain its current weight.

I take a bodybuilder's supplement called L-Tyrosine, it's an amino acid and seems to help. It's not really a stimulant per se, so it doesn't make you jittery. It helps to curb your appetite and makes you slightly more motivated. Good luck
