"He who has ears, let him hear."
Once, I asked Jesus to come and live in me, like he said him and his father would if asked.
Years later, I was at a tough place in my life.
I was alone and I was scared and frustrated and angry.
I cried out "God, you said you would come and live in me, so where are you?! I cant see you, I can't hear you, talk to me please, show me your self, why won't you communicate with me?!!"
Then i heard it...clearly in my mind.
"I am with you right now, I have always been with you. I haven't left you. Its going to be ok..." and He was speaking with my own voice!
Instantly I realized that He was always with me, BUT my recognition of Him, my ability to hear Him was clouded and blocked off because I was still under the impression that I was seperate from Him.
But of course, God's gift of Jesus and each person's own sincere acceptence on faith is/was the seed that fianally grew into a real relationship.
Finally it was as clear as day. His voice was my own voice in my head. He had come to live in me and was always speaking with me. The scriptures "I and my father are one" and "nothing can seperate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus" came to be an understandable reality for me.
Hearing is about wanting to hear and then listening.
"Faith is the assurence of things hoped for and the substance of things unseen."
Now, I hear and see God in more and more interesting and new ways. The whole thing really panned out and i gotta say- it was all worth believing in.

Thank you for asking this question!
I was at a loss a few years ago. Dead-end job, lonely, feeling as if my life was going to be the same old thing day after day after day, ad nauseum. So I went to the woods to get in some camping and recharge my spirit. I prayed to Jesus, and actually cried out to Him, "What am I here for? What am I supposed to be doing?" Then I prayed quietly, humbly asking Him to answer me. Then, as if there was someone sitting on the log beside me, although I was alone, I heard a voice -His voice- say "You should write that book, then. Use your Gift."
I went to sleep that night content, knowing that He heard me, and loved me enough to answer me. Yes, I had always wanted to make my way as a writer. I studied the art and craft for a long time. I wrote different things, read voraciously, did all the writerish things, but never took on a book length project. When I woke the next morning, I had the entire book in my head. I went home that day and sat at my desk, notebook open and started writing. Between sleeping and working the 'day job', I had 422 pages hand-written in less than three weeks. I am still working on some edits for that book, which all who have seen the manuscript have loved the story.
Now I have two children's books that are looking for a home. (I had a bad experience with a bogus literary agency recently). These books are wonderful, too. I will see the year 2007 as the year my dreams come true, and because I took my troubles to Jesus and asked Him for His help. He gave me a gift, and I am using it.
I would have no problem at all sharing emails with you. You can reach me through my profile and avatar. God Bless you and have a wonderful day!
Peace!

You can contact me my lost friend. I like to do some stretches and then settle in a quiet place in my home. With lot's of deep breathing I acknowledge the Lord in my mind. Since I'm a spirit filled Christian, I feel the Lord with me 100% of the time. When I settle in to puposely focus on just being, I also allow the Lord's spirit to come forward but only as forward as I allow it. So basically, just get in a quiet place and do deep breathing. Allow all the conscious thought in your mind to dissapear and be ok to just be. Keep up your deep breathing and allow your mind to drift away. When your ready slowly come back while continuing your deep breathing, then open your eyes and be conscious of how you feel. Slowly come out of your position (like if you've crossed your legs) and then stretch. Keep going into meditation with the Lord and when your mind is calm, ask the Lord a question. The answer will come maybe not right then, but it will come.

I think He talks to all of us; however, some are too busy/distracted to listen.
The other day my hubby and I were at Tim Horton's. We ordered 2 large coffees and it came to $3.01. I had 2, $2 and I asked by husband if he had a penny; he didn't.
We glanced beside us at the "Kids for Camp" donation box and there was 1 shiny penny sitting on top of the box, we took it used it and then deposited the $1 change into the box.
That's one of my many God moments.

Why would Jesus talk to people nowadays when we have the complete Bible 2 tim 3:16 All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching reprovong and setting things straight. If you want to know more about Jesus and about Jehovah God, then the best thing to do is read your bible John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God and the one you sent forth Jesus Christ (Notice 2 people mentioned here not one)

Ask Jesus Christ to show Himself to you and mean it. He is already calling to you or you wouldn't ask this question. You will begin to experience the reality of Christ in your life if you tell Him you'd like a relationship with HIm. You don't have to do or understand anything else at first; Christ will come to you. THen, as you are ready, you will be taught and drawn closer. Try this only if you love adventure, because knowing Christ in a personal way is the greatest adventure of all.

The first requirement is to Obey God.
What has both God and Jesus told us to do?
They both have told us to keep/do the 10 commandments of God.
IF you do that, then you are on the on ramp to understanding.
