I can't live without chocolate...I have to eat some everyday, every hour to be honest... I never run out of chocolate and always have some with me when i'm out...If I don't eat them, I feel like I'm going crazy and feel very uncomfortable....People say that if I want to marry someone, it has to be a chocolate factory owner..... I spend 30% of my salary to buy chocolates every month.....I'm so addicted to chocolate. Is it okay to be so??

You sound just like my older sister, shes addicted to chocs.... too much really isn't any good, think of your health i always say the same to my sister, im sure one of these days she will be diabetic.for the ammount she also eats. Try to cut down, so that you will stop. this may sound hard to you, but its the same for ciggies, i was a heavy smoker for years. i had health problems. I'm now a non smoker. nothing comes easy you need the willpower...

I m addicted to Nutella!!! I have to have it at least once if not twice or more every day! Like you I don t put on weight even though I eat lots of it but if I go cold turkey then I do lose some. I don t think its a bad thing as if we become diabetic in the future then we can try and wean ourselves of it then! Cross that bridge when we come to it. In all other areas my diet is pretty normal so should be ok.

It really isn't good is it?
Being addicted to anything is always bad in the long term.
Diabetes isn't the only thing to worry about as chocolate is high in fat and caffiene! This could lead to heart and weight problems too.
the reason you feel uncomfortable if you dont have it is because you have become used to the high it gives you.
Unfortunately chocolate gives the blood sugar levels a very quick boost and makes you feel good then the level drops again lower than ever and you feel ill!
You really should try to cut down as much as possible!
Try eating a cereal breakfast every morning as that keeps the blood sugar more even and provides energy longer.
Also try waiting as long as possible before giving in to the cravings.

Bad: a lot of sugar which really harms your body in long run, chocolate contains cafeine which is causing an addiction. If you eat chocolate once in a while, say once a month, it can provide trace elements like magnesium. Pure Dark chocolate is also considered healthier than normal 'supermarket' chocolate. Studies found that dark chocolate can prevent heart problems, if consumed moderately. You are addicted to chocs- so you should really try to give it up.

The dark chocolate is actually good for you, in small amounts.
Milk chocolate is loaded with sugar, not a good thing.
So, if you are eating milk chocolate, plan on putting on the pounds and other health problems.
Any addiction is unhealthy.

i also eat a lot of it
if i were you I'll try to substitute or partially replace chocolate with other sweets or even better with very sweet fruit like grapes or bananas.
you might be addicted with sugar (carbohydrates) but if you can manage to get your sugar only from fruits for a week or so, that is probably not the case.
cheers

Do you earn more than £30 a month? If so, 30% of your salary is an unhealthy amount of chocolate.

I know Malani I am an addict as well, not as bad as you I admit, I can manage if there is no chocolate in the house but if I start a bar I have to finish it even if it is (and it was once) one of those enormous one kilogram bars.
Cadbury's is my downfall.

if chocolate is your only vice your not doing to bad, a little of what you fancy wont hurt you but dont go over board, if you have other vices, smoking, drinking or drugs then yes all of them together will harm you, 30% of wages seems high though maby you should try to cut back a little
